Field Notes

Description:

A second small Lauxaniid fly with more bristles and more brown coloring, as well as a banded abdomen. We have many species of this Family in our area. This one was about 3 mm in length.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
