Description:

Both sexes have black legs and a very broad base to the hind wing. The thorax has yellow sides separated by a bold black panel in which there are three yellow spots

Habitat:

Marshy Wetlands. Found in northern Europe, Asia, and North America.

Notes:

Also known as the Black Darter.
