Field Notes

Description:

Male Thorax and body are reddish-orange with fine
brown markings at sutures, eyes are reddish-brown
above and yellowish below. The wings have a broad
amber tint and reddish pterostigma that will help to
identify this species.
Female Differs from the males only in the basic body
colour, being more amber brown, and having a paler
tint to the wings.

Habitat:

Lowland forested areas and shaded plantations,
paddy fields, not always close to water, but in the
vicinty of tanks in the the dry zone. Uncommon.
