Field Notes

Description:

A much larger flowered plant than I have seen elsewhere in the area, was at least 50% larger than any other, at 3-4cm in diameter. The roots are edible when prepared as potatoes, though caution should be exercised with many members of this family containing toxins.

Habitat:

Mixed woods
