Description:

These little guys can be quite bold and are often mistaken for tiny beavers. If you see a brown furry creature swimming through a wetland during the day, then it's probably a muskrat. Beavers are much bigger and, of course, have a large flat tail. Muskrat tails look like rat tails. This muskrat was spotted in the main wetland and Huntley Meadows Park.
