Field Notes

Description:

Basically green plant not tolerant to cold weather. Leaves are fairly large, almost oval. Its fruit is purple or greenish white.

Habitat:

This plant was spotted at a county park along the Gulf of Mexico. It was inland some; and not used, as often the case, for stabilizing the soil along beaches. It was most likely plant as landscape for the parking area.
