Field Notes

Description:

Black plumage, yellow-white eye, bristles on the upper beak, scruffy feathers on throat.

Habitat:

Common in Sydney, I watched this raven drinking from a dripping tap in Centennial Park. They were also on the lookout for any handouts from park visitors. Range over most of eastern Australia as well as Perth and the southwest.

Notes:

I love watching corvids. You always see some interesting behaviour.
