prothorax is lengthened. head has protuding eyes, long antennae and mandibles (chewing mouthparts). has two pairs of identical wings. ten-segmented abdomen without cerci. lengthened ovipositors.

Argy here is the previous spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/20106106 I agree that there is a similarity but for the long tail. Could it be a different gender? I will have to research further!
male-female thing? the one at wiki has a tail
Argy ,that was my initial reaction. But the previous Snake Fly did not have such a long tail!!
Looks like another one of those 'snake flies' ? Raphidioptera
