Field Notes

Description:

I think he may have been injured, as he let me get very close and did not fly away. He eventually jumped up into the pine tree in front of him, but it seemed laboring for him to do so.
Update: I left my house and came back an hour later to find this beautiful blue jay lying dead in my alley. I'm happy that I got to share him with the world before he passed.

Habitat:

Found on the ground in front of a large pine tree. Chillicothe, Ohio.

Notes:

Photo taken with my Polaroid i835 digital camera. Camera date stamp is incorrect.
