Sorry for the late response, Ismael. Saw your comment just this morning. Phantastic nymph shots. The are great photoobjects. This is definately Stilpnochlora couloniana. Costa Rica is on my todo list under the top five.
Some other nymphs from Costa Rica: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8081380 http://eol.org/data_objects/23384424 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8260339
Tettigoniidae, Phanerpterinae, Stilpnochlora sp., looks very similar to Stilpnochlora couloniana. Reports are from Florida to South America. But there are other species around and nymphs are always tricky to ID! http://media.photobucket.com/user/Dawurzel/media/katydid2.jpg.html?filters[term]=Stilpnochlora&filters[primary]=images&filters[secondary]=videos&sort=1&o=20
Oh my!! What a strange creature. I am saying to myself, where is the rest of the body. Incredible. It looks like a strange dwarf katydid. I love this spot. Love the red accent.
