Thank you for the lead. I believe now it is Dacrymyces palmatus (Orange Jelly) because we found it on a Douglas Fir limb on the forest floor. Tremella mesenterica grows on deciduous wood.
I think it's something like 'Yellow Brain' tremella mesenterica or dacrymyces palmatus. This link details some of the differences: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremella_mesenterica#Similar_species
