Field Notes

Description:

29-32cm Sociable grey mud nest builder with feathers of body and head tipped paler.Usually in small flocks numbering 6-20, walking on the ground looking for food, commonly flushed from roadsides.

Habitat:

Mostly in Eastern Australia, west of Dividing Range but spreading.

Notes:

They have a very loud voice grating and scolding.

I think you actually have to type in 'National Park' otherwise it doesn't work. Or maybe 'Carnarvon National Park'. Here's one of mine - take a look at the map and see what you think. (It shows the postcode at least!) : )
OH, hahaha! I have a bunch of pics from Carnarvon Gorge, if you type in 'Carnarvon Gorge National Park' it should work.
Just edited to just Queensland and it worked.
These were in Carnarvon Gorge, Queensland! The map would not recognise that and put it down as NSW????? Did not know what to do to change it ShannaB
I never saw Apostlebirds when I lived in Sydney. I only saw them for the first time last year when I went to inland Queensland. I love them, they're crazy! : )
