Mating Eelgrass Isopods. Concave posterior margin of pleotelson can be seen in the third photo (no other local isopods have this, good identifier).

Habitat:

Typically among eelgrass and kelp; Range: Alaska to Mexico

Notes:

Also classified as 'Pentidotea resecata', 'Idothea resecata'
Other Common Names: Kelp isopod, concave isopod, transparent isopod, kelp isopod, seaweed isopod, cut-tailed isopod.
