Description:

Too bad my camera cord got in the shot. This is a hot lips flower, part of a small bush that grows close to the ground in the rainforest. The coloring attracts pollinators and seed dispersers. Photo taken in Bergendal, Suriname.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest, Guiana Shield, Suriname
