Field Notes

Description:

Crabs are generally covered with a thick exoskeleton, composed primarily of calcium carbonate and armed with a single pair of chelae (claws).

Habitat:

Aquarium

Notes:

Crabs are often boiled alive. In 2005, Norwegian scientists concluded that lobsters cannot feel pain. However, later research suggests that crustaceans are indeed able to feel and remember pain.

So please put that under habitat (instead of ocean) because for Project Noah we want to know the habitat of YOUR spotting. General habitat and range descriptions can be found on other sites (which can be put into the reference link space) and should not be placed here. See "What do I put in the fields?" @ http://www.projectnoah.org/faq Thanks!
Was this at an aquarium? The map shows Singapore. Also, this probably does not qualify for the signs of wildlife mission since the wildlife is actually there.
