Field Notes

Description:

Large songbird with crest, orange bill and long tail. Males are red with black face. Females are brown with some highlights of red on crest, face, wings and tail.

Habitat:

Mostly found in the eastern part of North American but can also be found in south western deserts and mountains all the way to Mexico.
