Description:

These large acorn seeds are found abundantly on the ground. They have fallen in mass from one of the large forest trees in this area. The top side is rough and woody while the underside is hard and smooth like it is made of silk. The average seed diameter is 38mm. From an oak tree.

Habitat:

Forest of Tawau Hills Park, Tawau, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy: 50m diameter. Spotted this with DanDoucette during a walk near the park waterfall. This is the first time I have spotted this unique species.
