Description:

The spider has long legs with orange and black body. The height was 8 cm and the width was 4 cm. It had formed its web between 2 plants and it was motionless for a long time. Before laying eggs, the female digs a pit on the ground and produces its sac there.

Habitat:

Common in primary and secondary forests, waste-land and gardens. Can be found in Singapore, Burma, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, India, China, Japan, Northern Australia.

Notes:

Found 30 cm above ground.
