Field Notes

Description:

The Tree-Stump Spider defending its nest on the dried banana leaf. Would this be the first nest of this spider so far documented? :) I am not sure about the species.

Habitat:

MG, Brazilian Atlantic Forest

Notes:

Sorry for posting just one image. I have plenty of photos saved here whose species are interesting and so I would love to share them with you. But all of these photos are in unique files. I hope it's not a problem for now.

Brian, Mark, you are welcome! And... this is nature! More soon. :)
Excellent that you might have the web. Just checked the genus distribution too... incredibly almost everywhere on the planet. Good spotting and thanks for sharing but you leave me wanting more with your other photos ;-)
I've never seen anything like this Leonardo! Thank you for posting!
