Field Notes

Description:

This baby stork was fully grown and the same size as its parents. I only realized it was a baby when a parent came back and regurgitated food for it (picture #4). I did see the baby fly to an unused nest down the street (picture #6).

Habitat:

This nest was on a electric or phone pole in a small town on the Croatian/Hungarian border.

Notes:

I love it when the Genus and species names are the same!
