Description:

Small shore bird with black bill, black legs, white underparts.

Habitat:

Spotted on sandy beach on south shore of Nova Scotia, in late September.

Notes:

Lewis Head Beach, Nova Scotia. I would appreciate help identifying the species: perhaps a semipalmated or white-rumped sandpiper?
