Description:
Wild caught from the Rivers of Puerto Rico. The swordtails shown are all male, the females do not have the long bottom tail as well as bieng much smaller, though they do have the greenish color and the red stripe.
Habitat:
Slow flowing rivers, juveniles can be caught schooling with Endler guppies. Adult swordtails tend to swin with the larger guppies taking advantage of the protection they offer. They are not so numerous as the guppies in the stream and tend to be at the bottom of deeper pools
