Field Notes
Description:
15-20 cm in diameter.
Brown rings on top, white on bottom.
Dead leaf resting on top.
2 other Artist's Bracket fungi on same tree (not shown in pictures).
3 fungus beetles perched on bottom (hard to see in these pictures).
Habitat:
Found in the SAS rainforest, approximately 35 meters up the trail (after 3rd curve, near bird's nest fern), growing from a tree stump approximately 3 meters tall with moss and other bracket fungi growing on it.
