Field Notes

Description:

Drab sparrow-like bird with a thin bill and bobs it's tail like a spotted sandpiper. Brown on back and pale below.

Habitat:

Know to breed up in higher elevations and in the northern tundra. This one and more were spotted about 13,000ft elevation on both Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans. In the Summer I've seen them along rocky shorelines
