Field Notes

Description:

This frog was approximately 4 cm long with a distinctive stripe running down each side of the face. It has a white upper lip and a small brownish spot behind each eye. The back of the frog was a light green/brown color. It had flat sticky pads for fingers.

Habitat:

Found in a secondary rainforest after a strong rain.

Notes:

Found clinging to leaf in the early morning.

Hi, nice picture of the frog you got there! It might have been misidentified as a copper cheeked frog, instead it most probably is a four - lined tree frog. Their stripes do become less prominent in the day and when they are sleeping. However is still present faintly on the forelegs, hind legs and back. All of which are not present in the copper cheeked frog. Hope this helps clarify the frogs identity!
