Field Notes

Description:

Larger orbweaver spider with very bulbous abdomen. Golden orange coloration with a patch of black with white and yellow spots on ventral side of abdomen. Makes large ornate webs as is common for orbweaving spiders

Habitat:

Found right outside of an office building near the front door

Notes:

The coloration of this spider may vary. it is also commonly confused with A. cavaticus, which shares the same common name.
