Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized yellow caterpillar with a grayish back. Long white hairs. Black head. The caterpillars of species have two different races (distinctive color variations). This is the Northern race.

Habitat:

Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Forest bordering a water source.
