Field Notes

Description:

A medium-sized beefly with slender narrow wings that were mostly clear. The leading edges of the wings were black with the inner margins being thrown into waves. The abdomen was longer than in most other beeflies.

Habitat:

Spotted in a reserve - flying low on sandy soil.
