Notes:

This guy did not mind me at all! Just hanging out. It was also weird watching a Jackrabbit just walking around like a dog.

Sounds like a dream. Have not spotted a single owl yet/Finally saw Newts at UC Berkeley Botanical Garden and a Banana slug too. Camera was out of batterries when the slug showed up in the Red woods across the garden.
wow sounds like a great place to go photograph complete family habbits in a day! Thanks Hemma! if you're interested, I met a biologist out there when i was looking for a leucistic red-tailed hawk and he told me about a place he calls "Hawk Hill." Golden Eagles, Burrowing Owls, and lots more. make a right on I think it is Bear Vally Road if your coming from hwy 37 direction.
Joshua, there is a field in front of Travis Air force Base. There are millions out there.
thank you Emily :) they were everywhere too!
