Field Notes

Description:

The leaves were hairless but smooth and leathery. The arrangement of the leaves was alternate, and the shape was netted pinnate.The leaf margin spiny. The plant was about 50 cm in height, and leaves were a little bigger than size of a hand. The bark was rough, and its roots were underground.

Habitat:

I found this in a secondary tropical rain forest, right next to a tree with little sunlight.
