Invasive species.

Habitat:

This wooded area on Brazoria National Wildlife refuge has extensive amounts of Japanese Honeysuckle, Chinese Tallow, and Mccartney Rose - all invasive, interspersed in Yaupon and other trees and brush.

Yes, Japanese Honeysuckle is pretty, but that is one reason it was used as an ornamental, introduced to the United States in 1906 and spread as a problem invasive plant.
