Field Notes

Description:

White, fluffy mealybug destroyer. Looks and feels like cotton, found under a leaf. It jumped about a foot from one leaf to another. It is about one and a half centimeters in size.

Habitat:

Hot and humid rainforest, really common in the rainforest behind the school. Every time I see one, it is under a leaf or on the ground under shade.

Notes:

It was jumping really far and was leaving behind shreds of its "cotton". Some mealybug destroyers are more flat to look more like bird poop to hide from predators.
