Description:

Shiny black with yellow markings. Large Barklouse (Family Psocidae of the Psocoptera) of almost 1 cm in length.

Habitat:

On grasses close to the river, Ravine of the Corazon del Fortin, Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.

Common Barklouse

Cerastipsocus venosus

Thank you Keith for the identification. It must be a different genus and species though than those of the US and it was also quite large for a Psocid.
