Field Notes

Description:

This tree had flowers and fruit. The flower was at the end of some sort of vine. The bananas would grow out of the vine that is a little spiky. The flower was a pink color and the tip of it was a point. The leaves of the tree were about 162 cm long and about 16 cm wide. The leaves shape was lanceolate. The leaf margin was undulate and the leaf variation was parallel. The leaf had a smooth leathery texture.

Habitat:

In the Singapore secondary rainforest growing right next to a building getting very little sunlight

Notes:

Maybe the vine the bananas grow from is spiky so animals can eat the fruit before it is ready.
