Field Notes

Description:

this yellow greenish fungus was found when I turned over a log. It is about my arm length, and 3 inches wide. It smelled really bad (like rotting fish) and there were leeches and worms on it.

Habitat:

Hot and humid weather, behind the school. It was under and behind a log, and the part of the log that had the fungus was under shade by a tree with bits of light seeping through.

Notes:

As soon as I flipped it over, a bunch of flying bugs (20 - 25) flew out straight away, and all that was left were leeches, worms and dead bugs.
