Field Notes

Description:

Erect plants to 40cm tall. The plants lure, capture and digest insects using stalked mucilaginous glands covering their leaf surfaces. The insects are used to supplement the poor mineral nutrition of the soil in which they grow.

Habitat:

Growing on Tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) forest floor in amongst leaf litter. Very common in the area. Outside Busselton Western Australia.
