Description:
The Malay Apple had thin buttress roots, with lanceolate leaves in a cluster pattern. The leaves were glossy, waxy, and green, and 21 cm (8.5 in) in length and about 11 cm (4.5 in) in width. The leaf had a lanceolate pattern and was arranged in sub-opposite. The tree was a little over 8 meters (27 feet) tall, with a smooth and thin bark. The tree bore pink flowers, bright pink thin stems that let loose easily. However, the tree did not bear any fruit, although it was supposed to.
Habitat:
The tree was located in the Singapore American School secondary rainforest. The tree was found in the undergrowth of the rainforest, near the entrance of the rainforest, and had many pink flowers littered on the floor.
