Field Notes

Description:

From what I heard in the park is this female returns to this tree every year to nest. From my vantage point on the trail, she is large but blends in well with the tree. Long ear tufts, rounded long tail. Nice brown color with barring.

Habitat:

This one is nesting in a tall pine tree.

Notes:

Nesting in a tall pine. Had to walk around a trail that was at the same height to get different angles.
