Northern Harrier

Large raptor with owl like face, long wing span and long tail. These hawks usually gliding low over hunting areas. This one was doing it to scare up birds and get them as they take off. Many times they prefer to perch in bushes or smaller trees and sometimes landing in the middle of reeds in marshes. Most of the times I see them, they just land on the ground as opposed to perching up high like other hawks.
