Upright club lichen; pale greyish, covered in soredia; often bearing bright-red fruiting bodies.

Habitat:

Conifer bark, decaying wood.

Notes:

Cladonia is Greek for 'club-like'. Macilenta is Latin for 'thin' or 'lean'.
