Denis, you have already 3+ for Nycteis, so at least 2 others would agree. Here you have the link for Phyciodes tharos: http://bugguide.net/node/view/411/bgimage You may compare yours with these ones and you will not see the white spots on the hindwing and if you take the row/band on the right side of the forewing you also note some differences: look at the 2 spots below, quite "long", so more pins as spots in yours and Nycteis. http://bugguide.net/node/view/429
Looking at Pearl Crescent and Alternative ID of Silvery Checkerspot. So far haven't found which is correct.
