Bicolor False Eranthemum

Pseuderanthemum bicolor (Shrank) Radik. (family Acanthaceae), called Limang-sugat in Tagalog, Bicolor False Eranthemum and Shooting Star in English. Also called Pseuderanthemum pulchellum (Hort.) Merr., it originated from Peninsular Malaysia, and was introduced in other tropical countries. It is common in thickets at low altitudes from northern Luzon to Palawan and Mindanao and in most islands and provinces. It is an erect, branched, slender undershrub or half-woody plant usually about 1 meter in height.
