Description:

5.5 inches Sexes same. Overall grayish-brown with black throat and breast and white stripe above and below the eye. Song consists of two high notes followed by a trill (that sounds like the tinkling of a small, ceramic bell).
the black-throated sparrow is a permanent resident of Tucson Arizona . It feeds on seeds, insects, and new shoots.
