Field Notes

Description:

Greyish brown body with black head, red bill and bill-shield with yellow tip, red legs and feet.

Habitat:

Wetlands, edges of swamps, dams, park ponds. This was one at Centennial Park, Sydney, NSW. Common and widespread in Eastern Australia and eastern Tasmania.
