Description:

A gorgeous yellow and black Crane Fly, 1 cm long. The really cool thing about this one are its bright green halteres! Family Tipulidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
