Field Notes

Description:

These beautiful flowers were pinkish/purple and found off the main path. The flower had these long 'frills' which were 3 cm. long. These 'frills' are very fragile and fall off very easily. The ground below the flowers was cover completely with these. The whole flower from to to bottom were 5 cm. tall. The leaves of this plant we 30 cm long and 14 cm wide. They were shaped ovate and entire (margin) and were waxy.

Habitat:

Secondary Rainforest in Singapore.

This was found off the path!
