Field Notes

Description:

Around 15cm in length, with a dark marking on the neck. Tan and variable greys in colour. I've had a little trouble ID-ing this little guy, was thinking maybe a young Jacky Lizard (Amphibolurus muricatus). Any help with that would be much appreciated.

Habitat:

I found this little dragon in my suburban garden. They are found right along the coastal edge of Queensland, Australia.

Wonderful spotting, Leanne. I can now see the difference between this specimen and the Jacky Dragon. How cool to spot this Tommy in your own yard.
