Blue Flower Wasp

A flower wasp about 3cm in length with a black body and dark wings with a beautiful blue metallic sheen. These wasps drink nectar, but are designed to dig. They dig in search of larvae of beetles. When they find them, they don't kill them, but paralise them & lay their eggs inside them. When the wasp larvae hatch, they instinctively know the parts of the beetle larvae to eat first to prolong it's life, therefore it is more likely to fully develop before it's host dies.
