Yes,i think it is just a darker form of Euthalia aconthea.
It was very dark but it stopped in a shaft of sunlight, this combination probably upset the cameras auto settings, it often does. I'll see if my program can lighten them.
I hate these Euthalia ;-)... Must/should be Euthalia aconthea, but quite a dark one. Please, verify!
I agree with bayucca. Though this butterfly looks very much like a moth the way to distinguish butterflies and moths are the antennae. Butterflies always have slight knobs on the antennae at the end. Moths won't have a single line, but have very feathery projections along the length of the antennae.
Nymphalidae, butterfly ;-)...
