Field Notes

Description:

Grayish, inrolled caps with spots at the margins. Gills and stipe were cream colored. Stipe was pink at the base. This mushroom had an unusual odor - it smelled like soap.

Habitat:

Growing in a small cluster, on the ground, in a mixed forest with lots of oak and pine.
